Yeah, ya got that right -$1, one buck, the price for a can of beans (refried, pinto, take your pick) is what someone paid for a house in Detroit! This has to be a new low, at least for the last say, century or so - granted, the home was stripped of its plumbing, lighting and even the kitchen sink, but hey, whaddya expect for $1.00? I read elsewhere that it previously sold for $65,000, so if I’ve done the math correctly, that represents a 99.99846% discount (sorry if this isn’t entirely right - I’m still using my fingers and toes to count).

Brett Shaw from Cyberhomes:
You know, after seeing this angle of the home, I don’t know if I would have paid more than a buck for this “buck ugly” home. Then again, the land itself would be a nice investment.
Kinda has a striking resemblance to the frat house on “Animal House” don’t you think? “They took the bar!!”

Granted it’s been reduced to nothing, but still, $1.00!?! “Wow” is about all I can say…
