…ideas to create a new data standards format
Today, Yahoo! and Zillow visited our Trulia offices in San Francisco to hash out the details of the new data standards format for real estate listings. It’s a huge step for the real estate industry. The plan is to launch later this year…syndicating your listings will soon become much easier.

I don’t know what to think. It could be a great thing and it could also be a really bad thing. The challenge will remain in pulling all the strong features from each and leaving out the poorly executed ideas.

Hi Ines!
As I understand it, the collaboration efforts will help simplify the process. That’s a good thing.

Are you planning to share the data standards format?
We would love to be involved as we work with many MLSs and Brokers with data sharing

I wonder how this is pregressing. It will be itneresting to see if the Yahoo, Microsoft deal will affect this as well

I too, would love to see what the standards are going to look like and whether you are going to be sharing them with others in the industry. I would think that you would, as this would possibly encourage more brokers to submit their information to sites like yours. Wouldn’t this help to actually increase the “quality” of the search criteria and increase the number of listings “live” that match their results?
