Real Estate Industry

Homethinking hosts the 43rd edition of the Carnival of Real Estate and gives kudos to the top five entries of the week:

‘Redfin Simply Spun’ by Broker Bryant provides an account of the much talked about 60 Minutes interview with Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman.

‘CMA vs. Zestimate - Just The Facts Ma’am’ by Athol Kay is a call to action for realtors to track the accuracy of their CMA’s to the actual home sale price. That should provide some concrete evidence for why a CMA is better than a Zestimate from Zillow.

And back to Redfin: In ‘By withholding the secrets of the mystical MLS system are we betraying the home-buyer’s interests?’ Greg Swann gives an account of the $50,000 fine Redfin was recently given by the NWMLS.

In ‘A Real Estate Blogging Event - Let’s Write An Article, Together’ Jim Cronin calls for a team effort to help discover the advantages and drawbacks of working in a team and much more. Visit The Real Estate Tomato to join the collaborative effort and add your own opinion to the mix.

And wrapping things up, Peter Comitini’s ‘Buying in a new development: risk and reward’ looks at apartment buying in the Manhattan real estate market.

Head on over and check things out for yourself.
